Spring Eating…

With the weather becoming warmer, it’s an ideal time to consider purchasing fruit and vegies that are in season. Why? Well, seasonal produce is often cheaper than out-of-season produce, as it doesn’t require as much effort to create. It’s also less labour intensive and time consuming to produce.

Food that is transported from different countries can lose much of its flavour in transit or may not even have the chance to develop flavour as it has been picked too early in the season. In addition, fruit and vegies that are grown locally are better for the environment, as there are less emissions produced to get them from the paddock to your plate.
